Reelcraft Completes Six Short Subject Pictures And Signs Two Big Stars
Six more productions have been completed for the short subject program of Reelcraft Pictures Corporation. For the single-reel comedy series in which Billy Franey is featured, Thomas LaRose, director, has completed three more pictures, titled ”The Referee,” ”In and Out” and ”The Dummy.” William L. Roubert and Al Young, who are producing the romances of youth featuring little Matty Roubert, have complete their schedule up to and including January 1, with ”A Bold, Bad Pirate,” ”Summer Days” and ”Sunshine.” Reelcraft has closed negotiations for two big stars to appear in issues of the Royal comedy series, it is announced. Other players who have been featured thus far in the series include Leon Errol, Billy B. Van, Rosemary Theby and Sammy Burns. All of the productions are issued through independent exchanges throughout the United States.
